Who else is excited about the weekend?
Weekends are probably the best times for manicures and pedicures.
Here’s a quick review of a product you might find useful for your manicure/pedicure section.
A friend gave me this lovelies, it was sent to her from either France, or UK or so(I can’t remember). I have used something similar to these some years back by a brand called Orise Avise from France too.
Anyways down to the review…
Product Description and Claim;
Non drying, regular conditioning nail polish remover pads.
It comes in a pack that contains 10 individually packed pieces of cotton pads, which are moist in nature. I like the way they are packaged individually, that way each cotton pads gets to retain it’s moisture.
I must say, although the smell is quite strong, but it has a candy-like aftermath smell which i really like , as it takes off the strong alcoholic odor.
These are my nails after cleaning. I used just one one cotton pad to clean all the fingers on one hand (already started using it before I took the pictures above), and from the cotton pad you can see that it could still accommodate some more nail polish.
What I like most about this product is that, unlike a normal nail polish remover I can carry it around or even on a travel without worrying about the risk of it spilling on my clothes and things.
• It is quite handy and easy to use.
• It is portable!
If you have an impromptu outing or errand, and you don’t want go out with your nails looking unpleasant, you can just slide one or two pieces inside your bag or pocket and use it in the car or so.
• You don’t have to worry about spilling nail polish remover.
• It leaves a nice candy-like odor on your nails and hand instead of the alcoholic odor.
1. It can be harmful to synthetic fabrics, plastics, etc just like every other nail polish remover.
There are no other cons to this product, the only problem is that I don’t know about the availability in the Nigerian market. I really hope it’s available.
(She gave me several packs, so I might be giving out a few).
Who is this product for?
Best believe, you’d love it.
Will I buy it again?
I did not buy this one but if I get to see it, I’ll definitely buy it. This product is truth!
What do you think of this product? Have you ever used it or something similar? Please do share your experience, I’m interested in your thoughts.
Good to have you back on here, how are you doing today?
Summer is ending and we are t close to fall/harmattan, so I left you a number of totally cute outfit ideas you can rock just before the transition, check here.
Anyways, long time no review, I guess you must have noticed this though.
So today I’ll be reviewing the Forever Living Avocado Face and Body Bar.
Unfortunately I don’t have the pictures I took since my phone is faulty you can check here. But this is what it looks like (Update: I’ve gotten my phone back so I decided to put up the pictures).
To be honest I tend to be a little bit biased towards brands that infuse nature into their skin care products maybe because nature in its raw form or products with natural ingredients are what works best for my skin with little to no side effects.
I got this soap from a forever living products distributor in my hostel for #1200 naira back then, It could be less or more.
Product Description and Claim;
Natural beauty starts with clean, healthy skin. And clean, healthy skin starts with nature. For over 30 years, Forever Living Products has been a leader in finding and prefecting natural sources for softer, smoother, beautiful skin. Our Avocado Face & Body Soap is a perfect example.
Made with 100% pure avocado butter, Avocado Face & Body Soap loves your skin, moisturizing as it cleans with the natural rejuvenating properties of this powerful fruit. Avocado offers relief for almost every skin type, gently clenseing oily skin with no irritation to keep pores clear and healthy. For dry, sensitive skin, it smoothes quickly and penetrates to nourish and moisturize.
And because it’s a moisturizer and a cleanser, Avocado Face and Body Soap continues working after you bathe. The fresh citrus scent is a gentle reminder that it’s helping to keep your skin soft, supple and healthy all day long.
- Avocado is a rich source of vitamins A, B, D and E.
- Contains antioxidants to help combat free radicals.
The bar soap is minty green in color,It has this smell of nature which I actually like. and It lathers up very well.
- It’s cleansing effect.
It deeply cleanses the skin, removes dirt , leaving your skin squeaky-clean and feeling very smooth. It is also very effective in removing makeup.
Often times when I use the soap, I barely see the need to make use of a facial cleanser.
- It is mild enough to go on your face.
Yes it is. I’m very selective with what I put on my face because it is tends to be more sensitive the other parts of my body and often times I don’t like putting soap especially bar soaps on my face because it tends to be too harsh and drying for my skin, however this soap was not harsh and I had no reactions on my face or any other part of my skin.
- It’s quite pricey.
It’s pretty pricey compared to the average body bar soaps available.
- It is not available in stores.
You can only get them from one of the forever living product distributors, this means you can’t get it in stores.
However they have distributors around in most locations and you can also get it online from stores like Jumia or Konga .
Who is this product for?
Normal-Oily-Dry skin, I don’t have oily skin but I think it would be nice for oily skin due to its cleansing effects. For normal to dry skin, this is where my skin falls, and from what I observed, its cleanses your skin without necessarily drying it out.
It however also claims to be good for sensitive skin, I can’t say for sure since I don’t have sensitive skin, nevertheless if it works well for every other category, it should be mild enough for sensitive skin.
This product is unisex; for both the female and male gender alike.
Will I buy it again?
Yes, if I have some extra cash and I want to splurge on my skin, why not?
PS; I have also used their deodorant and lip balm, might put up a review on those too later.
Have you ever used this soap, or any other forever living products? What is your take on their product? I’d like to know your experience as well.

How is your week going? Good I hope!
This is my first my product review post, yay!
I chose to review a body scrub because exfoliation is a very important part of general skincare routine for all skin types.
I used to suffer from dull unhealthy skin, until I learnt about exfoliation some years back. It amazes me,how most people still don’t know how important it is to incorporate exfoliation into their skincare routine.
Exfoliation is the removal of the dead skin cells sitting on the skin’s outermost surface.
This means that when you don’t exfoliate, all the skin treatments, lotions, serums etc that you use are just going on top of the dead cells and not penetrating into your skin. Little wonder why you feel like those products don’t work.
Here’s a practical illustration;
Bola and Bisi are friends.
Bola exfoliates regularly, Bisi doesn’t .
Bola and Bisi use the same body lotion at same time.
Bola is likely to get better results than Bisi. This because the product penetrates through Bola’s skin. While it stays on top of Bisi’s dead skin cells.
Same product, exfoliation/no-exfoliation, different results…. you get?
However you should avoid over exfoliating.
There are various ways to exfoliate the skin and the use of body scrubs is one of them.
Please note; Exfoliation is not limited to the females alone, therefore body scrubs are essential for both men and women.
So now we dive into the product review….
Eden Apricot Scrub For Face And Body
Gently removes dull surface cells to reveal a smooth, healthy complexion.
A deep cleansing natural-fiber body scrub that quickly removes blackheads and impurities, unclog pores and removes dry, dead cells from the surface of your skin to reveal a smooth, fresh layer. Can be used on all skin types. Gentle enough to use daily.
Moisten skin area on face or body with warm water. Apply with fingers and massage gently avoiding eyes and sensitive areas. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry.
This scrub comes in two cup sizes, the big one 474g, and the small one 227g/8 oz.
I got the small size which happens to be 8 oz.
How I use:
1. I rinse my face with warm(not hot) water.
2. I don’t dry my skin after rinsing,I just apply product and massage in a circular motion (you don’t need too much product to do the work).
3. I leave for like 5-10 mins (personal choice)
4. I rinse off the product with warm water
5. Then pat dry and moisturize
Well my face feels clean and smooth. It doesn’t strip my face of any moisture whatsoever, but rather reveals a fresh smooth skin.
• It keeps to its promise stated earlier.
(I don’t know about the removing of blackheads part because I don’t have black heads) but it did exfoliate my skin real well.
• It is mild, therefore suitable for most skin types.
• It is economical and budget-friendly
You can this small size(227g) for #500-#700 depending on where you’re buying it, it’s available in most stores. However it’s about #1500-#3000 online (I wonder why things are ridiculously expensive online).
• It is not limited to the face. I use on my body, even on my lips. Yass!
• I don’t really like the packaging (it’s not sealed). But when I compare the pricing to how well the product works, I think I can cope with the packaging.
This product is really worth buying,I have no regrets at all. This is actually the second cup I’m using. I’m getting addicted to this scrub, because it works well, and it’s really making me reluctant to try another.
PS; I noticed that the ingredients are quite similar to that of St.Ives apricot scrub.
I am neither a skin therapist nor a cosmetologist.
I only make research, use products and evaluate based on observations on MY skin.
What is your take on exfoliation? Have you ever used this product? Do you think you’d give it a try? I’d like to know your thoughts….

Hello my dear reader,
Happy Easter to you!
Thank you for the love and support so far.
I hope you are enjoying and making the most of the long weekend.
Is it just me or is anyone else happy about not going to school/work tomorrow…
We live in a generation where every girl/lady/woman wants to be on fleek. Nobody is on chill anymore…😂😂
Personally, I don’t really like fixing my nails, you’ll find out why soon. But here’s an inexpensive and time-saving way of getting your nails on fleek. Its called DIY (Do-It Yourself),yep, do it yourself gurrl. By the end of the post you’ll see reasons why you should really do it yourself.
So let’s get started,to get your nails done here are the things you’ll need;
• Acrylic nails (one pack is just 50-100)
• Nail polish
• Clear nail polish (nail hardener)
• Nail polish remover
• Nail file
• Nail buffer
• Cotton wool/cotton swabs
• Glue (Alteco)
1. Using a nail cutter or scissors, cut the acrylic nails to preferred length (I don’t like mine too long).
2. Using the nail file, shapen the nails to preferred shape. This is a visual guide to nail shapes.
I personally prefer the squoval shape (its beginning to look like s round though🙉)…
3. Buff your nails with the nail buffer and clean the surface with cotton swabs to make them smoother.
4. Apply the glue on the surface of your nail, not too much, but enough to hold the acrylic nails.
Now, let me tell you the reason why I don’t like fix my nails.
The first and only time I ever tried fixing my nails,I went to a around school . During the course of fixing it they put so much glue that I made that i could it see the dried up residue right beneath the acrylic nails. To make matters worse some layers my nails peeled off when it took it off. To be honest I was so furious and never tried it again since then. Besides I love my nails, they are strong and growing longer so I see almost no need.
But heyy, for the sake of those who love to fix their nails ,those who love DIYs and those who love trying new things let’s get back to business…shall we?
5. Apply a coat(or two) of your nail polish and allow to dry for about 5-10 mins.
6. Then apply clear nail polish (known as ‘nail hardener’) then leave for about 15-20 mins to dry properly.
And voila, you got ya nails done.
PS; You could also fix the acrylic nails before shaping it,if it’ll be easier for you that way. I just chose to do it this way.
The best part of fixing your nails yourself is that;
– You get to do it to your taste.
– You get to keep the remaining acrylic nails, nail polish, nail polisher remover and every other thing used, so you use them another time.
– You get to use just the right amount of glue you need, so you don’t end up like me.
– You don’t need queue up to get your nails fixed(Gosh It’s so annoying😒), when you can use that time to fix it yourself and do other things.
I’m loving the nails,yikes!
So ladies, lets get talking, I’ll love know what’s you think. What’s your opinion on getting your nails done yourself, please drop your comments.
Have a wonderful week ahead!
And Happy Easter once again…😘😘
Thank you for stopping by.
