Travel | 10 Amazing Places To Visit In Nigeria #MyBucketlist

It’s my first travel blog post, yay!

In my first post ever I talked about how much I lo first ve to travel (even though I rarely get to). Touring and unravelling places can be so pleasantly adventurous and that is exactly what I love.

I definitely want to travel around the Africa and the world, but first I’ll start with my very own country, Nigeria.
Nigeria is beautiful, best believe it. And there are a lot of destination worthy places here.

Within Lagos

images1 – Art Galleries
Art is life, it would be a pleasure to visit the some of the several art galleries in lagos like  Nike Art Gallery, ReLe Art Gallery, Terrakulture or even the private ones like the Red Door Gallery.

2 – Beaches

The sight and the feel of water is very refreshing. And Lagos is blessed with it, I surely would not mind taking trips to some of the beaches in Lagos e.g Lekki Leisure Lake, Ilashe beach, Lacampagne Tropicana,Takwa Bay, Whispering Palms and the list goes on.

3 – Lekki Conservation Centre.
Aside from the wildlife animals  present is is a place for Lekki Conservation Centre has the longest canopy  walk in Africa which is about 22meters above ground, an adventure to experience.

4 – Badagry Slave Trade Route
Taking a look back at history isn’t a bad idea. Someday I’d love to take a trip to badagry and explore our history, and also to see the first storey building in Nigeria.

Outside Lagos

5 – Ikogosi Warm Springs in Ekiti State.

I’ve heard talks about the hot/warm water and cold water coming from same source at the ikogosi warm springs, I’d love to experience it myself.

6 –  Erin Ijesha Waterfalls in Osun State.
Never been to a waterfall before but from pictures and experiences I heard about so far, I’m anticipating my visit to this place.

7 – Idanre hills in Ondo state
This holds is about
Climbing an hill will definitely be such a big deal but the view from the top is surely worth the stress.

8 – Obudu Mountain Resort in Calabar
One of the factors pulling me to Obudu Mountain Resort is the cable car ride, just an imagination of this is thrilling.

9 – Wikki Warm Springs, Yankari Game Reserves in Bauchi.
Yankari game reserves is definitely one place to go, and a strong pulling factor for me is the wikki warm springs. It has one of the most realistic blue-green scenery of water that I’ve seen in Nigeria (in pictures though), by now y’all should already know that I love water.

Really what else is there to tell? The picture says it all, an amazing view to behold.

There are several others on my list but this is my top ten.

What is your opinion on travel or should I say, tourism? And what do you think of my Nigerian travel bucketlist?

Have you been to any of this places before? Please share your experience, it could help a lot.

With Love, Lydia.

Ciao….

  1. I want to go to that Kajuru Castle in Kaduna, I saw it in Wande Coal’s music video and I was shook!
I’ve been to Whispering Palms, Erin Ijesha, Lekki Leisure Lake which is now a beach by the way.
You can also go to Omu Resort too, it’s after Lekki, there’s a zoo there.
In Lagos too there’s the Apapa amusement park and the Hi-Planet amusement park at Mowe,
In Abuja you can go to Wonderland, it’s an amusement park.
