If you follow me on instagram you’d notice that I’ve been in Lagos for a while now for my break. Before coming to Lagos, I decided that I was going to take advantage of my stay in Lagos by attending a lot of events, learning lots of things and networking as much as I can too before I go back to school.
Just incase you are like me, and would love to attend events or participate in activities but you don’t know exactly what is happening in town or can’t tell when it is happening. I’ve decided to make it easy for you, by compiling a list of activities and events happening in Lagos this April.
Let’s go . . .
1 – OPEN MALL FASHION SHOW
Location: Lagos City Mall, Onikan, Lagos.
Date: April 17, 2017
Event Description :
The Lagos – Open mall Fashion Show 2017 will be an exciting runway and exhibition event at the City Mall, Onikan. #OMF2017 will feature 50 Models, 10 Fashion Designers, 10 Nigerian music artiste and as well as a crowd of over a thousand fashion lovers.

2 – LEGALIZE YOUR CRAFT
Location: 5 Ayinde Akinmade Rd, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
Date: April 20, 2017 (Time: 4pm)
The purpose of this workshop is to increase awareness of startup legal requirements, issues and traps concerning incorporating a company.
We will take you through the law of intellectual property fashion industry and provide you with a straight forward introducton to trademarks as it pertains to the business of fashion and provide you with a straight forward introduction to trademarks, copyright and design rights.

Note : I recently attended the a creative direction and fashion styling masterclass that was organised by The Assembly Hub (@assemblyofficial), and to be a sincere the masterclass unleashed loads of relevant information to me, the speakers came with their best and I was so impressed, so I just might go for this one too.
3&4 – LAGOS INTERNATIONAL FOOD AND DRINK FESTIVAL. & LAGOS BEER FESTIVAL.
Location: National Stadium, Abule Egba, Lagos.
Date: April 22-23, 2017
It’s a weekend of plenty fun and adventure plus a weekend to indulge in a lifestyle where your biggest decision will be how to pick which activity to attend! Visitors can expect to experience the largest ever showcase of Nigerian cuisines (over 100!), finger-licking grills, mouth-watering burgers and sandwiches, and a healthy dose of veggie foods. As if that is not enough, there would be a lavish abundance of drinks -from smoothies to fresh coconut juice, cocktails to ice-chilled beers!

5 – DIGITAL MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA WORKSHOP.

6 – STARTUP GRIND

Startup Grind Lagos in the month of April will be hosting Bassey Eyo, the CEO of Payporte, to a Fireside Chat to talk about the theme for the month – “The Grind: Thriving in the face of adversity” Startup Grind Lagos’ Chapter Director, Uwem Uwemakpan, and Co-director, Blessing Abeng, will also lead the participating entrepreneurs in engaging Q&As and discussion sessions that highlight and proffer solutions to challenges the Lagos entrepreneur faces.

7 – GTBANK FOOD AND DRINK FAIR
Location: Plot 1, Water Corporation drive, Oniru, Victoria-Island, Lagos.
Date: April 30 – May 1, 2017.
At the food and drink fair there will be a wide variety of food exhibitors showcasing and selling food products ranging from fresh organic groceries to dry foods, confectionary and pastries, ready to eat consumables, top quality crockery and wine & champagnes.
In addition to the exhibition and sales, the GTBank Food & Drink event will also offer culinary experiences such as food and wine tastings, cooking master classes with renowned International and Nigerian chefs, outdoor grills and thrilling entertainment.
